Install
Concrete Flooring |
 |
Q: I need
to put concrete floors in my out-building. Can you provide me with
resources or an instruction guide on how to "do-it-yourself"?
Any information will be much appreciated as I have had great difficulty
in finding concrete services.
A: Thanks for your inquiry. There are many elements to consider when
installing concrete, including the site preparation, reinforcement,
additives, expansion joints, proper curing, etc. Then there are special
finishes available, including exposed aggregate, colors, stains, stamped
patterns, etc.
Considering the expense of concrete, its tendency to crack if improperly
installed and the difficulty and expense of replacing a poorly done
job, I strongly encourage you to hire a qualified concrete contractor
to install it for you. In most cases, hiring a professional with the
expertise and tools to do the job right the first time is worth avoiding
the hassles and expense of having to have a substandard job re-done.
I can think of few projects this advice would apply to more than installing
concrete!
To find a reputable concrete contractor, simply return to our site
at http://www.servicemagic.com. Submit a service request to let us
match you with the ideal Service Professional in your area.
However, if you still want to look into doing it yourself, you can
check out www.concretenetwork.com for tips on installing all kinds
of concrete projects. If you decide to tackle the job after doing
your homework, you can return to our website to request "Concrete
Delivery" and "Concrete Pumping" services and order
exactly what you'll need to do the job
yourself.
Good luck with your project!
